What we Do
Saol Studio was founded in 2023 to produce documentaries and other stories that provoke, delight and make you think.
Our goal is (currently) modest: to get up and running while finding a story worth telling about an individual or group that is operating within a larger self-regulating and self-sustaining system.
About our Name
“Saol” (a homonym of “seal” or, for some speakers, “sail”) encompasses the big ideas in Gaelic: the world, universe, existence, life, earth…. and this inspires us to dig deeper, to accept ambiguity, to be humble but curious, and to honor others’ understanding of what matters in the world.
